Uninstalling PeopleSoft PIA for WebSphere

1. In WebSphere Administration Console http://server:9060/ibm/console, log on as user admin

2. Applications > Enterprise Applications

3. Check fsdmo and then Stop

4. Check fsdmo and then Uninstall

5. Save configuration changes

6. Repeat for 9061 (PSEMHUB) and 9062 (PSOL)

7. Stop WebSphere using the command:

webserv\binstopServer.bat server1

e.g.
E:PSOFTFS900webservPIA_fsdmobinstopServer.bat server1
E:PSOFTFS900webservPSEMHUB_fsdmobinstopServer.bat server1
E:PSOFTFS900webservPSOL_fsdmobinstopServer.bat server1

8. Uninstall profiles using the commands:

manageprofiles.bat –delete -profileName

e.g.
cd /d E:PSOFTFS900webserv
PIA_fsdmobinmanageprofiles.bat -delete -profileName PIA_fsdmo
PSEMHUB_fsdmobinmanageprofiles.bat -delete -profileName PSEMHUB_fsdmo
PSOL_fsdmobinmanageprofiles.bat -delete -profileName PSOL_fsdmo

9. Delete the PIA_fsdmo, PSEMHUB_fsdmo and PSOL_fsdmo directories.

10. Reboot the server.

Cleaning Up the Environment Management Hub

How to Clean Up the Environment Management Hub

Problem:

Previous attempt to clean up the EM Hub was not completely successful, the previous Agent IDs (1 & 3) still appear.

Solution:

1. Stop the PSEM Agents on gldbase and glwebapp.

2. Exit the Change Assistant

3. Stop the web server. The application server and batch server may also be stopped.

For Agents, Viewer and Change Assistant:

Delete the files in the following directories:
• Under PS_HOMEPSEMAgent for Agents
• Under PS_HOMEPSEMViewer for the Viewer
• Under the Change Assistant directory for Change Assistant

envmetadata/PersistentStorage/
envmetadata/scratchpad
envmetadata/data/ids/
envmetadata/transactions/ (if it exists)
envmetadata/data/search-results.xml (just for Agents and CA)

For HUB:

Delete the files in the following directories:
• Under PS_HOMEwebservfsdmoapplicationspeoplesoftPSEMHUB

PSEMHUBenvmetadataScratchpad
PSEMHUBenvmetadataPersistentStorage
PSEMHUBenvmetadatatransactions (if it exists)
PSEMHUBenvmetadatadata*.* (files and directories.don’t delete the data directory itself)

Problem:

After cleaning up Environment Management Hub using the above method, the old Peer IDs still appear in the PSEM Viewer.

Solution:

Bounce the web server (fsdmo-PIA service) on glwebapp.

Note that from the above table, the Change Assistant is not running.

Solution:

In Change Assistant, under Tools > Options, the Change Assistant Mode is set to Perform PeopleSoft Upgrade. It should be set to Apply Application Update.

psSharedLibrary classpath entry missing jar

Problem:

After resolving the port issue (see above), the file E:PSOFTFS900webservPSEMHUB_fsdmologsserver1SystemOut.log shows:
